The story revolves around Ned Weeks, an activist writer who becomes known for his campaign against the AIDS virus, which spread as an epidemic in the 80s. Alongside his boyfriend Felix, Ned embarks on a powerful rebellion against the misconceptions surrounding AIDS and the way people perceive it. One of the things they strive to show the world is that AIDS is not solely a disease born out of homosexual relationships, contrary to popular belief. Ned takes his fight to the next level by forming a group dedicated to fighting the illness, ultimately becoming a significant figure in the struggle against AIDS.
